Love Powered Littles {Small Business Spotlight}

Some time ago through various networking channels I became acquainted with Jim Debetta who knows a lot about a lot, and this past week I received an email from him about a Kickstarter campaign that intriqued me. As you know, I’m a huge supporter of people doing their own thing. As a former Kickstarter launcher, I love to support others who are trying to get their idea off the ground.

I am even more interested when that idea involves positively influencing kids today. Despite my campaign being about my book of reasons not to have kids, I do want what’s best for the children who will be leading our country one day. With the level of bullying and negativity in the world, any opportunity to give kids a feeling of love and affirmation is a win to me!

What inspires you?

LOVE, mindfulness, connection, beautiful & meaningful creations, and POWERING the next generation of mindful leaders (our Littles!)

What inspired you to start your business?

We saw a need in the marketplace. We searched high and low for the perfect Affirmation Cards for children and they just didn’t exist (not like the ones we’ve created!). Since we launched our Kickstarter campaign, the marketplace has responded and parents from around the world are excited to welcome this tool into their homes!

Does a particular product or service really resonate with you?  And, why?

We love welcoming beautiful, meaningful things into our home … Chapters Indigo is a fave go-to place!

What has been your favorite project?

Cuddle and Kind

Who is your ideal customer/client?

Our customer avatar is Moms who are obsessed with empowering their children.

Do you have children? If so, do you face any challenges with work/life balance?

We do! Anna has an 18 month old and Lindy has 4 and 6 year olds! We’ve found ways to create work like balance that feels good for our families.

Do you have a motto or favorite quote (that you live by)?

If you wake up in the morning and don’t have the desire to work on something you know you need to finish, what makes you forge ahead?

What is the one thing you wish someone had told you before you started your business?

Never give up!

How has being an entrepreneur changed your life?

Becoming an entrepreneur has allowed us to live life on our own terms, while having a positive impact in our homes and on the world at large.

If you could do it all again, what would you do differently (if anything)?

We understand that every experience leads you to the next and we wholeheartedly appreciate every high and low of our journey. We wouldn’t change a thing!
