Some time ago I met Angie (in a pattern testing group I think – isn’t it terrible that I have suddenly forgotten? – in my defense it has been a crazy year).  Anyway – the important part is that I met Angie from Beaser Bags & Pattern Co and now I have the honor and pleasure of introducing her to you.

When I met Angie I told her I’d love to feature her on the blog, and now that she has completed her first pattern for the Tuck N Roll bag and I want to be sure no one misses out on this!  Angie was so kind as to gift one of her Tuck N Roll bags and it is truly adorable and amazing!  Don’t believe me?  Think you have enough bags?  Well…just look at these photos and you will immediately realize that you NEED this bag! The last 2 pictures of the Tuck N Roll bags are from Angie’s collection.  I’m sharing them so you can see how pretty they look in all colors and patterns. I’m thinking of how wonderful it will be for traveling – my jewelry always ends up a tangled up mess.  Or…what about using it to organize stuff for your car glove box and know that every time you open the glove box you see something pretty smiling back at you instead of just a bunch of clutter!?

Now that you’ve seen the gorgeous photos of this great gift Angie sent me, let me share a few questions she answered for us!

When did you start your business?
It has been in the works for about 2 years.

What inspires you?
Usually, I get inspired by the mistakes I make on well-intended projects.

Does a special memory come to mind when you work with a certain item, color, print?
Many generations of women in my family sewed to earn money to support themselves and their families, or to create affordable clothing. I remember my grandmothers wearing doubleknit pants suits in the summer that they sewed.

Are other people in your family artistic, crafty, etc?
My son and daughter, and a brother are very artistic–they both draw and paint well.

Does anyone else in your family own a business? Or any family work with you?
I cannot think of anyone who owns their own business; I have no employees.

Do you have a motto or favorite quote (that you live by)?
“You must do that which you think you cannot.” Eleanor Roosevelt

What is your business mission statement or tagline?
Functional and fun bags to sew and use!

If you wake up in the morning and don’t have the desire to work on something you know you need to finish – what makes you forge ahead?
I really have to be in a mood to create and sew, which is most times. Unless I am ill, my mind is always thinking of new ideas or looking for new ideas.

What has been your favorite project?
My favorite project is the Tuck N Roll Bag. This is why it’s the first pattern I completed.

Is there anything else you want people to know about you or your business?
Teaching beginner sewing students is one of my passions. I enjoy seeing new sewing enthusiasts bloom into the art of sewing.
